At Sanling Microfiber, environmental responsibility is the utmost concern to us during our production process. We prioritize the use of eco-friendly technology, which stands as a cornerstone of our company’s values.

By implementing figured sea-island microfiber, we eliminate the need for toluene in the dissolution stage of production.

Through this eco-friendly technology, we dissolve the fibers with low-concentration alkali liquid, which poses no risk to the health of our workers and mitigates environmental harm from the use of organic solvents.

Eco friendly technology to dissolve microfiber

How do we deal with the dissolved COPET?

COPET is recycled and used for other industrial purposes such as filler of some material.

By using waterborne PU for microfiber suede, the whole production process does not need any organic solvent.

Several years ago, Sanling Microfiber embarked on a journey to research and develop waterborne microfiber leather. We recognized the significance of using waterborne PU as a means of protecting both people and the planet. This was a substantial step in eco-friendly technology, as it involved replacing DMF based PU with water-based PU. The improvements we achieved are not limited to just being organic solvent-free, but also water-saving. We understand that this may pique people’s curiosity, so we encourage you to visit our page dedicated to waterborne microfiber suede for more detailed information.

By using Recycled PA6  for microfiber suede.

As we’re all aware, the majority of plastic is produced by the petrochemical industry, which contributes significantly to the world’s carbon emissions. At Sanling Microfiber, we recognized the need for sustainable alternatives and began developing recycled PA6 in 2019. In 2021, we successfully produced suede using this recycled material. By using 1kg of recycled plastic, we could reduce the use of 2-3kg of raw oil, lower CO2 emissions by 50%, and decrease SO2 emissions by 80%. Additionally, we can reduce sewage discharge by 45% and lower energy consumption by 60%-70%. To learn more about Sanling’s products utilizing recycled PA6, please visit Fertiland and Extra-frontier.

Dyeing stuff and finishing agents we use.

The selection of dyeing ingredients and finishing agents is critical in the production of microfiber leather. At Sanling, we meticulously choose these materials to meet stringent environmental standards. For instance, we avoid using C8 waterproof agents in favor of C6 or fluorine-free ones to ensure our products are less harmful to the environment. Our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint is a top priority at Sanling microfiber.

Certificate

At our factory, environmental protection is integrated into the production process itself. This is reflected in our achievement of the ISO14001 certification in 2019, and more recently, the GRS certification in 2021. Our commitment to researching and developing environmentally-friendly technologies is ongoing, as we strive to create a better world for future generations.
